Big nose of another sort

I really have to go visit these horses when the light is better. Both times I've been by there it has been early morning. Check out the shadows in this photo (I wish I had noticed the shadows when I took the photo, actually, because then I wouldn't have chopped them off).



And finally for what might be my favorite shot of the day.

First day with the new camera

I used to be a bit of a snob about photos shot straight down onto a dog but lately I've been getting a kick out of them. I am going to redo this once I'm a bit more familiar with my camera - and once I have three similar shots where the eyes are actually in focus - but this amuses me non-the-less.

Fall, not here

Here the colours of fall are golds and browns. It can still beautiful but doesn't come close to the glory of maple trees. Last weekend I was in Massachusetts where the fall colours are much more spectacular.

Lines in stone

I was taken on a whirlwind tour of Harpswell Maine the other day. These rocks fascinated me.
